They started out by playing this game. There was 8 hoola-hoops on the perimeter of this mat and 1 in the middle of the mat. . In each hoola-hoop on the outer edge was something that was like a half-ball. The hoola-hoop in the middle had 2 of each color (There were 4 different colors). This is starting to sound real confusing, so I will tell you the point of the game. They needed to get 3 of the same color "half-balls" in their hoola-hoop (they were partnered up). As soon as the half ball was on the floor in the hoop, it was free for the taking. So, more than 1 group was going for the same color ball, so quite often your ball got stolen as soon as you got it to your hoop!
Here they had to walk on their feet and 1 hand and tuck the half ball into the crook of their other hand.
Here they had to do the wheelbarrow with their partner and carry the half ball on their back.
Mckenna's partner is so tiny, she has no arm strength, so they didn't end up getting even one half ball to their hoola hoop.
Here, the instructor is demonstrating what they had to do on the "mushroom."
Swinging!
Climbing the ropes.
Doing a jumping routine on spring boards and trampolines.
Having a blast on the trampoline!
It tired me out just watching them, but she was full of energy yet when she was done! She would love to go to gymnastics on a regular basis.. maybe when we live closer to town (Don't tell her that :)
