A Trip to see my Family! #1

When we went to Chilliwack after Christmas, my camera came out....NOT once :(. To this day I still regret it, but can do nothing about it... accept to do better next time. So when I went to see my family, I took some.. about 200, but I still look at them and wish I had a picture of all my neices/nephews, not just some of them, and I never got a posed picture of the girls together with Grandpa and Gramma.
What I do have though it lots of awesome memories. It started with the drive there.  I was crazy/brave (will let you decide) to drive the 13 hour trip- taking roads I had never taken before- by myself. What I didn't realize was how few towns I would actually drive through.  After I left Quesnel, I drove through a little town called Hixon, then I drove around Prince George and didn't get to another town until McBride, which was 3 hours later.  Between PG and McBride, I almost turned around.  You will see why when you see my pictures.  Fortunately I had a driver in front of me that I could feel was confident, and I followed him.  After McBride, it was a decent drive.  It was still slushly and snowing in some parts, but at least I could see where I was going.  After McBride, you drive around Jasper, around Banff, through Canmore, around Calgary, through Bragg Creek, and once you get onto HWY 22x (I think that's what it is), there are several towns you drive through.  The scariest was the Columbia Icefields, as there were very few vehicles driving through there at that time.
It took me about 13 hours to get there.

While we were there, we went to the Indian Battle Park 3 times for some pretty good walks.  My kids amazed me!
The kids love the skelter. They spent hours on it a day.. when the sun was shining.
Grandma, Auntie Melinda and Auntie Theola spoiled them with crafty stuff, from safety pin bead making, to weaving, to doodling with letters/numbers, stickers, etc.
Here are some pics that tell it all!
