We left for Chilliwack on Monday, July 29. We drove as far as Quesnel, and spent the night in the parking lot of Walmart. No worries, we were pulling our camping trailer :) The next morning, a dear friend of mine, picked me up and we went for breakfast at McDonalds. After a quick visit with an ex-neighbor, we pulled into the RV service place in town. The brakes on the trailer were not working proper, so a bell kept ringing every 5 minutes in the truck, letting us know.
We arrived in Chilliwack around 7:00, at TOny and Marilyn's house, where they had supper ready for us. It was actually Kaitlyn who had prepared steak, roasted potatoes, cucumber salad, and roasted red peppers! It was delicious and muchly appreciated. Throughout our whole trip, we had yummy food. We had packed enough food in our trailer so that we could be self-sufficient, but Tony and Marilyn would have none of that. 2 of those mornings, we had eggs, pancakes, bacon and toast for breakfast. We felt very spoiled and blessed. These efforts of hospitality are never forgotten!
Like usual, I didn't take that many pictures. The girls spent alot of time in the pool.
Friday night, we had a get together of John's immediate family so that we were able to see everyone. We were able to meet Andrew, John's nephew, and also another nephew who was only 2 days old, little Micah Harrison! We had some FABULOUS food. It was great to see all of them again.
On Saturday the girls and I went to White Rock with Trevor and Cathy and Lillian. I don't think I will ever get tired of the ocean. I am so glad that we were able to make it this summer. John doesn't understand my love for White Rock, but that's ok. I will not drag him or force him, as long as he lets me go :) It was lunch time by the time we got there, so of course we hit up Moby Dick's for their famous fish and chips! And we couldn't leave without getting an icecream.
The girls shoes is exactly how they left them when they raced ahead of them to get their feet wet!

We left Chilliwack again on Monday, August 5. After stopping at the church to see JOhn's dad, and then at John's parents house to see his mom, we were on the road around 11:00. ONce again, we stayed in Quesnel for the night. THis time was parked at a friends house. The next morning we went to some very dear friends for coffee. And homeward bound!
