Mother's Day to me, is not so much about the flowers, gifts, cards, etc. It's about having a relaxing day with the family. And that is exactly what it was like this year. We slept in, some as late as 9:15, but we won't mention any names. Mckenna made pancakes with saskatoon berry sauce for breakfast. After church, we came home to a simple lunch, prepared by me! Cleanup was done by both girls. YAY!! After a little bit more relaxing, we decided to go for a drive. Our destination was Blackfoot Park, which is a campground situated on the Peace River, if I am corrrect. John had heard that there were ferns there and he wanted some to take home. We found a little rabbit trail that took us through some wild raspberry bushes and strawberry plants. We will have to go back there again when the berries are ripe! Will be a treat! So while John dug some ferns, Emmy and I took some pictures and Kenna and Sadie did some exploring. We ended up at the river where we enjoyed some tasty treats and did some more exploring and rock skipping. We got home just in time to dive straight into bed.
Enjoy the pictures!
At the base of the right side of the bridge, where the pile of rocks are, is where we started out, and are the same rocks that the girls were climbing in the next picture
A BEAUTIFUL sunset that we came home to.
Your girls are growing up!!! Look how TALL McKenna is beside John! :o LOVE your barn pictures! :)

She is hardly an inch shorter than me. And I think her feet are already bigger than mine.
