We are still here!

My apologies to those who sincerely care about us and stop by once in awhile to check up on us!  We have not had a computer for over a month.. it stopped working and we have not been able to get a new one... BUT  on Saturday, John and I are going on a "date" to Prince George to find one!
A little summary of our summer:

June.  We had mine and Emmy's b-days that month.  Mine was uneventful. Emmy's was lots of fun. She had one friend from the Kersley school and one friend from Carson school and then some neighbor kids.  They decorated their own cupcakes and then  painted some decorative birdhouses.  John was not there for that, as he was working in Chilliwack.  At the end of June, we had our first family visit us in our own home!  We had lots of fun with Derek, visiting the lake, Barkerville, the Pinnacles and going for a drive where we saw an elk, a deer, a bear, and a baby moose.

July. John and I were hoping to go away for our 10th anniversary, but a trip to CHilliwack kinda made that impossible.  Me and the girls made a quick trip to CHilliwack to do some work in the house, as we were without tenants for 2 weeks.  I was not able to visit with family much, but I did get to see some.  Sorry to those who I did not see.. it was a busy, crazy trip!  I do think it is you guys' turn to come visit us anyhow.. we've made 3 trips in 3 months so... :) Then we had Mom and Dad Maljaars and Jake and Brent with the Dutch friends come for a QUICK visit.  They arrived Thursday night.  After a quick supper, we headed to the lake and then walked through town.  Friday we went to Barkerville, and after pancake breakfast on Saturday morning, they were off to Chilliwack.  It was hard saying goodbye.. like usual, and we miss them already.

August.  We went camping in our new trailer!!!! We spent Friday night at Marmot Lake in Nazko and then headed up on Saturday to Fishpot Lake Resort 18 km out of Nazko for 2 more nights.  The owners were very friendly and had 2 boys that played really good with the girls.

Other that that, it's been life happening.  Nothing exciting, nothing much else I can think of.

I've been blessed with giving friends.  I have received alot of raspberries for free.  Some i froze, some i made jam with.  I also got 6 zucchinis so far! I have grated and froze those.  I will have to find a creative way to slip them into meals, as my kids were not fans of them. I canned a few peaches, made a few peach pies. I canned some cherries.  I made apricot jam and froze some more apricots.

That's about all I can say :)  Sorry it took so long to update.  Hopefully starting next week, I can add some pictures that will entice you all to come visit me and see it for real!!

HOpe you are all doing really well.
